Has anyone bought this saddle or...?
I am looking for a western show saddle. I only have up to $500 to spend, so I am having a hard time finding one. I prefer to buy new, so I can try it first. Has anyone bought from saddleonline.com? I found one saddle that looks promising, but its really cheap. I am just curious if its alright quality, or if its not even worth trying out. Here it is:

I haven't actually tried that saddle, but to me it's ugly (to be blunt). It is cheap, but it also looks cheap. Notice how the leather has that "plastic" look to it.
I understand about sticking to a budget, and I had to do the same thing. Obviously, the only way to find a really nice, high quality, new show saddle is to spend a whole lot of money on it, which wasn't possible for me.
I found my show saddle on Ebay. It was also a "cheap" saddle (I think I paid $450 for it) but I needed it immediately (had been using my mom's show saddle and it was no longer possible to keep doing that) and didn't have money for more. However, even though it is a lower quality saddle (the leather is thinner) and probably won't last as long, to me it doesn't look as cheap as some of the others (including the one you mentioned).

I don't remember the specific brand (I don't have it here with me) but in my opinion it was a better looking saddle than some of the other cheap ones--it also rides well and seems to suit my horse fine. Like I said, I found it on Ebay, but it's also sold normally. Ebay is also a great way to find used show saddles, which are cheaper.

Again, I haven't actually tried the one you mentioned, so I have no way of knowing if it's durable or anything like that! In my opinion, you can find a better looking one within your price range, but again, that's just my opinion
